So here I am, sitting in the kitchen in Willesden Green, writing my last blog entry as a Londoner. It is amazing to think that just over a year ago I was packing to move to London and now my bags are packed ready for Australia. Where has the time gone?
It has been beyond shadow of a doubt been one amazing journey and the best thing I have done in my life. Travelling to different countries alone and with my sister has made me appreciate life on a scale that I never knew existed. Our world is one amazing place just waiting to be explored. While I leave London financially poor, I am rich in terms of knowledge and confidence. Confident that I am leaving as a changed man, knowing that there IS more to work and gettting stuck in that daily routine. I must admit that I am already thinking about future trips.
So, I guess what I am trying to say is that if you have ever thought about relocating to another country then 'do it!' I have no regrets and would do it all over again.
Before I sign off though I'd like to repost the verse titled 'Attitude'. After all who really is in charge of our life but us.
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."
